This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Hanza Games collects when you play Atropion: Space War Strategy (“Atropion”, “the game”), visit hanzagames.com or contact our support, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run a fair online game.
1. Who we are
Hanza Games is an independent game developer. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

3. What we do not collect
- We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools in the game, and we do not show ads.
- We do not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- The website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Our network provider (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.
- Atropion currently has no real-money purchases. If we add them, payments will be handled by Google Play; we would receive only a confirmation of the purchase (such as an order number, product and time), never your card details.

5. What other players see
Atropion is an online multiplayer game. Other players can see your commander name, tag, avatar, level, your base (when they scout or attack it), battle results and your place in rankings. Please do not use your real name or other personal information as your commander name.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
- Contabo GmbH (Germany) — hosts our game servers and database in the European Union.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — domain name service, content delivery, protection against attacks, and forwarding of emails sent to our support address.
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. — distribution of the game through Google Play, and hosting of our support mailbox.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) (France) — delivery of the emails we send.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our players and our service.
7. International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the GDPR applies, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
8. Retention and deletion
- Account, profile and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. During testing, game data may be reset; reset data is deleted.
- Technical data and website logs are kept for up to 30 days.
- Backups of the game database are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten.
- Support messages are kept for as long as needed to help you, and no longer than 2 years after the conversation ends.
Deleting your account: email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account” and your commander name and tag (shown in your profile). We will confirm the request and delete your account and game data within 30 days, apart from data we must keep by law. An in-game option is coming.
9. Security
Data between the game, the website and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Our servers accept traffic only through our network provider, access to them is restricted to authorised personnel, and game rules are enforced on the server. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will act quickly if something goes wrong.
10. Children
Atropion is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country (up to 16 in some EU countries), please play only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Personal Data” and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation — you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To use these rights, email [email protected]. Because guest accounts are not linked to an email address, we may ask for your commander name and tag, or other details from the game, to confirm the account is yours. We answer within 30 days.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the game grows. We will change the effective date above and, for important changes, let you know in the game or on this website.
